More About the Golf Classic
Proceeds to Benefit the Early Childhood Center
#1 – SCRAMBLE FORMAT
Scramble format, all players tee off, choose which shot is best and all play their next shots from the location of the best shot and play continues until hole is completed. Winner is decided by the team with the lowest score after 18 holes*. PRIZE: Team prizes for first, second, & third place finishes.
#2 – THE RED BALL CHALLENGE
Participating foursomes are given one red golf ball to be played during the scramble. The red ball is rotated between players for each hole. The golfer whose turn it is with the red ball will use that ball for each of their shots during their hole. The rest of the team will use their ball as normal for the hole. Any team that loses their red ball is eliminated from winning the challenge. The winner is decided by the team with the lowest score and the red ball*. PRIZE: 50% of pot based on participation. COST: $20 per foursome.
#3 – $10,000 HOLE-IN-ONE CONTEST
Sink a hole-in-one and win up to $10,000! PRIZE: Multiple winners split prize. No winner? We got that covered too. COST: Included in Registration.
#4 – MULLIGANS
Each mulligan is a second chance to swing, without adding an extra stroke to the team’s score. PRIZE: No prize here but you could help lower your teams score! COST: $5 each or 3 for $10.
#5 – LONGEST DRIVE CONTEST
The longest drive from the tee box wins. We’ll have a Men’s and Women’s winner. PRIZE: $50 Gift Card. COST: Included in Registration.
#6 – CLOSEST TO THE PIN CONTEST
The golfer to get closest to the pin after their first swing wins. We’ll have a Men’s and Women’s winner. PRIZE: $50 Gift Card. COST: Included in Registration.
#7 – LONGEST PUTT CONTEST
The longest putt recorded on the Green wins! We’ll have a Men’s and Women’s winner. PRIZE: $50 Gift Card. COST: Included in Registration.
#8 – PUTTING CONTEST
Sink the putt but, there’s a catch, you won’t be using your putter! You’ll have to pick between a croquet mallet, shovel, softball bat, or crutch. Get it in and receive a ticket for a drawing between all the winners. PRIZE: $100 Gift Card. COST: $5 each or 3 for $10.
#9 – DOOR PRIZES
An opportunity to win from a variety of prizes. COST: $5 each or 5 for $20.
* Tie Breaker: Starting with the hardest ranked hole on the course, the team recording the lowest score on that hole will be declared the winner. In the event the score is still tied, a progression with the second ranked hole and so forth will continue until the tie is broken.
